Butterscotch's Vet Appointment
Hi Everyone,
It is hot and humid here in the desert! The weather might be wonderful in winter but it sure isn't wonderful now! I think it was about 107 degrees here today, with humidity! Kevin was out working on the Expedition today and when he came in from the garage, he was soaking wet! Yuck! I don't know how he stood it out there.
Butterscotch went to the vet and he is doing fairly well but by no means is he out of the woods. It seems that he is doing better because he eats like a little piglet; he chases after his ball a little bit, carries his bone around and growls at Ladybug when she bugs him. However, he has balance issues, he still has trembles and twitches and his immune system is so low that we have to pretty much keep him inside the house. The fact that he is alive and doing as well as he is doing is a miracle in itself. Distemper is such an awful disease. I would never wish it on anyone's pet. The reality is that his neurological disorder could still get worse, it could stay the same, or it could get better. So, we wait and see. I am still very hopeful. If we lost the little guy now our hearts would be so broken. He has got to be one of the sweetest little dogs that I have ever seen. Maybe it is just because he has been through so much. Again, I want to thank you all for thinking of him, praying for him, and sending me encouraging emails. I appreciate each and every one of them.
I added a few new goodies to the website tonight. I was feeling creative today. If all goes well, I will be adding some tags for cats and dogs in a few weeks. They need jewelry too, right???
